Featuring Andrew Bartman
Andrew Bartman is beginning his first year as the Pitching Coach for the Lynx Baseball Program. However, he is no stranger to Lincoln College. Bartman was a catcher for the Lynx from 2001-2003 under current Head Coach Tony Thomas. Bartman says “I am tremendously excited to be coming back to my hometown and former school to coach. I cannot wait to hit the recruiting trail and begin getting prospects excited about Lincoln College.” Prior to LC, Bartman was the Pitching Coach and Recruiting Coordinator at Wabash Valley College in Mt. Carmel,IL. under Rob Fournier for the past 3 years. During his time at WVC, Bartman helped to recruit players to a program with a perennial national ranking in D1 juco, and 4 different pitchers were drafted by Major League organizations in the past 2 years. In addition, pitchers from WVC signed scholarships to the SEC (Kentucky 2, Arkansas, Ole Miss), Big East (Cincinnatti), Missouri Valley (Indiana State 3), MAC (Bowling Green), SWAC (Alcorn State), MEAC (Norfolk State), OVC (Austin Peay, Tennesse Martin), along with perennial Division II powers Delta State and Southern Indiana. Also, WVC finished 3rd, 1st, and 2nd consecutively in the highly competitive GRAC conference during Bartman’s time there. Coach Bartman was also proud to be a part of Head Coach Rob Fournier’s 500th win at Wabash Valley in his last season. The WVC pitching staff finished with a 3.00 ERA or better in the last 2 seasons Bartman was in Mt. Carmel. Andrew Bartman has also coached with Springfield College, Lincoln Legion, and Lincoln Heat baseball.
Andrew is also a member of the American Baseball Coaches Association and an Associate Scout for the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Coach Bartman (26) is married to the former Nicole Tucker and the couple resides in Lincoln.
